Our Story

How it all started...

Thom is 70 yrs old and has been married to his bride, Cindy, for 44 years. They have two grown sons, Justin and Paul, who have blessed them with three grandchildren. After spending most of his adult life running from the calling that he felt for many years, Thom would find himself very distant from what God had planned for his life. God's grace and mercy would be extending to as low as Thom could have gone in his life to pull him out of the depths of darkness. Thom is a product of the "Jesus People" movement that started out of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa where Pastor Chuck Smith ministered to a group of youngsters known as "Hippies." Thom was one of those people who ultimately found the peace and love he was looking for in Jesus Christ after hearing a guy named Lonnie Frisbee share the gospel in a way he understood. Many years would go by before Thom totally surrendered his life to the Lord and began serving Him with his whole heart. Thom attended Calvary Chapel in McMinnville, Oregon, where he was mentored by Pastor Ron Smith. It was there that Thom began to serve leading classes in "The Most Excellent Way" and also teaching in the extension Bible college. Thom was sharing the Word at a "Cowboy Church," as well as the Union Gospel Mission in Salem. Thom and his wife were instrumental in planting the church here in Sheridan in 2008 where they began with 12 people meeting at a local elementary school. Thom continues to be amazed at the grace and mercy of God in allowing him to be used to teach the Word, as well as shepherd a group of loving people.

Expanding the vision...

Helping those in need and loving people where they are at is key in our food ministry. Our volunteers set out food for the community. It is amazing to see how God works through our volunteers and how He has provided so much food to share with the community.  Where God guides God Provides!!!!

Where we are headed...

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"

Matthew 28 : 19
